Golf Fitness Trainer

Justin Shelby is currently a strength and conditioning assistant with the University of Texas men’s and women’s basketball teams. Previously, he helped work with UT’s women’s golf team. He is also one of the most sought-after experts in strength and conditioning for ultimate frisbee, training professional and elite players worldwide, as well as youth and master’s athletes. The rotational power needed for throwing in ultimate frisbee closely mirrors the mechanics of a golf swing, making Justin uniquely skilled in optimizing rotational force and movement efficiency across both sports.
With a master’s degree in kinesiology and a background in massage therapy and sports rehab, Justin specializes in utilizing exercise and muscle release techniques to aid in pain management and rehabilitation. He has served as a rehab exercise specialist in top sports medicine clinics, including the office of the head chiropractor for Washington, D.C.’s professional sports teams. His expertise in sports science and technology allows him to take a data-driven approach to training, ensuring athletes develop strength and resilience while maintaining peak performance.
Justin’s coaching philosophy is simple: training should enhance performance without compromising skill development. His programs are designed to build strength, improve movement efficiency, and keep athletes fresh, powerful, and pain-free—whether on the field or the course.
